Diversity Lab’s own Lisa Kirby and Kavita Ramakrishnan recently appeared on the ABA Journal podcast, Legal Rebels. Chatting with host Victor Li, the two covered the current state of DEI, the importance of opening the door wider to find the best talent, design thinking, and system change. Not bad for a 30-minute listen!

As Kavita said, “I don’t think any one diversity program, DEI initiative is going to fix everything.” However, making DEI a baked-in component of hiring and advancement streams is crucial to the success of any initiative. To quote Lisa,  “If there’s not a structure and an accountability guardrail built in, then I do think that a lot of DEI policies tend to slip people’s minds.”
